Type Locality and Naming
Includes in East Pshart. It is distinguished in 1967 by V.I. Dronev, recently studied by I.A. Gusev (1972).

Lithology and Thickness
It consists of red-colored, large-gravel at the bottom, and medium- and small-gravel dense conglomerates with layers and lenses of various-grained polymictic sandstones and gravelites. Thickness 400-500 m.

Conformably underlying on Kyzylaygyn Fm
Upper contact
older than the Quaternary, are unknown
Regional extent
It is widespread in the Central Pamir in the basins of the Western and Eastern Pshart rivers, Buguchidzhilga, and others.

Fossils
In the described Fm, spores and pollen have been found, close to those from the lower Miocene? Boljuon Fm (больджуанской ~виты) of Southwestern Tajikistan: herbaceous xerophytic Chenopodiaceae, Compositae, Artemisia, Plumboginaceae; woody angiosperms Betula, Ulmus,Elaters, Platanus, Fraxinus, Liquidambar, Salix; gymnosperm and coniferous trees such as Pinus cf. longifolia, P. cf. gerardiana, P. cf. exelsa, P. cf. minitus, etc. (Gusev et al., 1972).
